Recreo Celebrates Día de Muertos

Each year, RSM celebrates Día de Muertos by honoring the memory of a fashion great. Following last year's celebration of Alexander McQueen, this year's "ofrenda" honored the great Oscar de la Renta. De la Renta (22 July 1932 – 20 October 2014), was a Dominican-American fashion designer trained by Cristobal Balenciaga; he honed his skills in the houses of Lanvin and Balmain. His eponymous fashion house, now under the able creative direction of former Nina Ricci director Peter Copping, continues to dress celebrities, diplomats and fashion leaders worldwide. The de la Renta altar is shown below, along with a selection of additional images from Día de Muertos 2015.
